During Nintendo Direct this week, Square Enix announced a brand new tactical RPG under the Triangle Strategy Workpoint. The game, which uses the same iconic art style of Octopath Traveler, announces a return to the kind of tactical / strategic role play as Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre and Fire Emblem.

Project The last time Square Enix has produced a title of the genre, it was the exit of Tactics Ogre: Let US Cling Together for PSP in 2010, more than ten years ago.

A Project Triangle Strategy demo is now available for download on the Nintendo Eshop. Here is the official description of the game on the Nintendo website:

Three Nations fight for controlling the decrease in salt and iron resources

Order a group of warriors as Serenoa, heir from the Wolffort House, in a plotted plot where your decisions make all the difference. The key choices you will make will strengthen one of the three beliefs - utility, morality, freedom - which together make up the vision of the world of Serenoa and influence the course of history. Faced with really important decisions, several characters will intervene by voting on the scale of belief. In these moments, the allies and decisions you make can determine the fate of whole nations and the continent of Norzelia itself.

Check battlefields at several levels to ensure victory strategically Find the best location in the battles in turn per turn can tip the balance in your favor. Position the units on a higher ground to take control of the battlefield and get the advantage with increased scope. You can also flank the enemies on both sides, then hit from behind for a powerful tracking attack. Elementary chain reactions are also an important part of the fight. For example, use the fire to melt an iced ground, then use lightning to electrocute. Push the enemy into the electrified water to see sparks fly!
