You'll need to level up and progress through Diablo 2 Resurrected from uwnmspqr5's blog

This Beginners Guide contains all of the information you'll need to level up and progress through Diablo 2 Resurrected (D2R) as quickly as you possibly can.  The fact that this Diablo 2 Guide is intended for new players does not rule out the possibility that if you haven't played in a while, you will find it useful to refresh your memory.  Diablo 2 Resurrected's leveling system is similar to that of other video games in that it becomes increasingly difficult as you progress through the story line.  Following completion of the first difficulty (Normal), it is possible that you will notice that you are losing track of time and that you are not gaining the amount of experience you would like.  Each run you complete will be enhanced by the information contained in this Guide, which will allow you to gain the maximum amount of experience possible while maximizing your enjoyment.

How to Raise Your Level of Competence in a Specific Subject

Because of the difficulty of some areas, depending on your skill level, you can gain significantly more experience than you would otherwise gain by simply walking around the map.  As a result of the fact that these areas contain large packs of monsters, as well as monsters that are only found in these areas, the situation is as it is.  The premise behind this is that you travel to these locations and eliminate any and all of the enemies that you encounter along the way, which is an interesting concept.  Remove yourself from your current game and begin a new one, repeating the process until you have reached the level that has been set for you.  It may appear to be a little tedious at first glance, but the method described below is the most efficient method available in Diablo 2 Resurrected for leveling up your character.

The following is a comprehensive list of places you can visit based on your current skill level; it includes the following destinations:

A regular clearing of Tristram levels 1 through 15 is required to ensure that the game continues to run smoothly.

This step is required in order to progress further in the quest The Search for Cain.  To do so, you will need to activate the portal to Tristam.  If you use the waypoint to teleport into the Stony Field, you will be able to complete this run in the shortest amount of time.  Travel to the Tristam portal and pass through it, defeating any enemies you come across along the way, to complete the mission.  When it comes to elites, which typically spawn in the middle of a map, this is where you should concentrate your efforts.

The most difficult levels are those numbered 15 to 24.

If you want to complete Act II, you'll need to clear Tal Rasha's Tombs in the Canyon of the Magi, which is the game's final waypoint.  It is necessary to complete the Summoner questline before you can proceed to the Canyon of the Magi area of the game and begin exploring it.  Each of Tal Rasha's tombs must be entered, and you must defeat all of the enemies that are present in each tomb.  Continue to the next tomb and repeat the process there as well, once you've completed the first one.  Terrorist tombs and legitimate tombs are the two types of tombs that fall under this category.  Simply start a new game and go through the entire process all over again, if necessary.

There are currently no levels higher than Level 24, which is currently the highest available.

As soon as you reach level 24, you can attempt to complete the Rite of Passage (Normal difficulty), which will grant you one level as well as the ability to perform Baal runs.  If you are successful, you will receive a bonus level and the ability to perform Baal runs.  In order to reap the greatest benefit from this quest in terms of experience, you'll want to wait until you've reached level 24 before embarking on it.  The next level, which is 25, is awarded to you once you have completed this assignment.

The most difficult levels are those numbered 25 to 40.

Getting through Chaos Sanctuary (Diablo's Lair) on a regular basis, or completing all of Baal's runs in a single session, can be beneficial.  My preferred method of leveling up is through Baal Runs, which cheap D2R ladder items prefer because they require the least amount of effort on my part.  Following your completion of the Worldstone Keep Lvl 2 on Act 5 (the final waypoint), you will simply teleport to the Throne of Destruction and continue your journey from there.  Once you've arrived, you'll need to defeat all of Baal's waves in order to be able to exit the game and reload it later.  Despite the fact that it is not required that you kill Baal in order to gain experience, it is recommended that you do so in order to see if any additional items can be obtained as a result of your efforts.

Chaos Sanctuary is a third option that can be used in conjunction with the first two.  It is only necessary to obtain the final waypoint on Act IV (which is the final waypoint) in order to complete this run. . Teleport to the City of the Damned and follow the signs to the Chaos Temple.  As a result, you will have defeated all of your opponents, as well as any elites who may emerge from the seals.  You can then proceed to kill Diablo in order to obtain some additional loot once you've completed the task.

Level 40 can be obtained by successfully completing the Rite of Passage (Nightmare difficulty).

Once you reach level 40, you should be able to handle the Nightmare Difficulty on your own.  Execute a second run-through of Acts  through IV, and then complete the Rite of Passage quest line to complete the game.

The most difficult levels are those numbered 41 to 60 on the difficulty scale.

In order to receive your reward, you must make frequent trips through Chaos Sanctuary and complete all Baal runs (Nightmare difficulty).  It is recommended that you begin the Nightmare Difficulty runs in either the Baal or Chaos Sanctuary locations after you have completed the Rite of Passage questline.  Mechanically, there are no distinctions between any of the difficulties in terms of difficulty.

It is necessary to complete the Rite of Passage (Hell difficulty) on your computer in order to reach level 60.

Once you have reached level 60, you should be able to take on Hell difficulty without too much difficulty.  Be aware that at this level, you will require better equipment due to the fact that the enemies are much more powerful; therefore, prepare yourself accordingly.  If you are having difficulties, it is possible that the Countess will be able to provide farm runes.

You can ask a friend or another player for assistance if you are playing online and are having difficulties power leveling your way through the hell difficulty level.  Someone might come up to you and offer their assistance in exchange for your Hell's Forge Quest Runes, which you can choose to accept or reject depending on your personal preferences.  Do not accept this because those Runes will most likely be used to get you started on the construction of your equipment, and Diablo 2 resurrected items strongly advise you against accepting them at this time.  Please keep in mind, however, that the other person may abandon you after taking your Runes, which could put you in an awkward situation.

Levels 61-99 are currently available for purchase on the site.

Cleaning the Chaos Sanctuary (Diablo's Lair) and completing all Baal runs (Hell Difficulty) on a regular basis will assist you in your advancement through the game's storyline.  It is recommended that you begin working on Baal Runs or Chaos Sanctuary on Hell difficulty as soon as you have completed the final Rite of Passage quest.

If you want to play the game at its most difficult setting, D2R ladder recommend that you level up to around level 90 or 94.  If you want to go beyond that, it will take an inordinate amount of Baal or Chaos Sanctuary runs, and you will not notice much of a difference beyond a few skill levels and attributes by the time you reach that point.
