A glitch in one of FIFA 23's"Hero Packs" been quite expensive after a tradeable FIFA Ultimate Team Hero item was put on the market for virtual transfers at significantly reduced prices FIFA 23 coins. Chaos ensued as players attempted to sell off their assets after their value plummeted trying to recover some losses as the market was overwhelmed.
FUT Hero Items are very rare and thus valuable. Each is associated with players who have made significant contributions to their team or is an avid fan for a reason or other. A Hero item can fetch million of FUT coins in a single transaction on the virtual transfer market or acquired through buying packs, in which case there is a low chance of receiving one.
Therefore, when EA had erroneously released a bundle with a trading Hero item for the low-low price of 250,000 FUT coins The market was hit with an influx of cheap Heroes which caused prices to plummet and wipe out some of the most valuable items. People who held on to rare Heroes started selling them after seeing prices fall, which served to throw more fuel into the fire. It's not surprising, however due to the fact that the rarer Hero items can fetch hundreds of dollars in real-world value in the event of sale on third-party platforms.
The mistake was rectified and the pack will be accessible for around 25 minutes but the damage had been caused. EA has yet to offer a comment about the situation. even though the market is beginning to rebound cheap FUT 23 coins, the losses appear to be irreversible and it remains to be seen what EA can do to rectify the situation.
