There are two hurdles during the first week of lifting. The first is a veteran athlete who is entering a well-established training program for strength. The veteran athlete will have his favorite lifts and workouts, and will strive to work with the strength trainer to customize their workouts according to what they like the most or what's appropriate for their bodies.


Another is when there's a new strength staff looking to implement their own program. Every player has to be aware of the program and what the goals are.
