Originally developed for HBO Max by father-daughter team Greg and Haley Daniels under the title My Mom, Your Dad, ITV Studios acquired worldwide rights through ITV America and the Global Creative Network. ITV Entertainment produces the original version in collaboration with Rombola Entertainment.

In addition to the UK, Swedish, and Australian partnerships, ITV Studios announced that My Mum, Your Dad has been picked up in six additional countries, with the commissioners still to be announced.

The plot revolves on a group of single parents who have been nominated for a second shot at love by their children. The parents move into a house together, completely ignorant that their adult children live only down the street.
