The Tyre Change Challenge puts you in a virtual roadside environment with nothing more than a toolkit and your wits. Here you’ll have to use your brain to unscrew a locking wheel nut and fit a fully inflated tyre. Sound easy? You’ll also have to contend with a ticking timer and a whole host of sneaky red herrings.

How long do Tyres On The Drive take to change a tyre?

If you only need one tyre changing, your car should be ready in around 20 minutes, give or take (with our car service). But it’s often wise to replace them in pairs, so that you have new tyre tread on both sides of your vehicle. This gives you the most balanced drive. The tyre type and size will also affect how long it takes to replace it.

The faster way to fix a flat

Book before 6:30 pm and we can usually come and fix your tyre the following day, complete with supplying a suitable replacement tyre if you need one. Our mobile tyre fitting service comes to you. That means if your car is on your drive, you’re free to sit back and relax in the comfort of your own home, instead of waiting in a noisy, draughty local garage. For your extra safety, we have developed a new, non-contact service so you can keep you and your car extra safe. 

Here’s what to do:

  • On the day of your car repair, park your car in a safe place so we can easily get to your car.
  • Place you keys and locking wheel nut in a safe place.
  • Our technician will call on their way to your fitting.
  • Tell them where keys and locking nut are so they can pick them up without contact.
  • We will only gain access to your vehicle when a following job in being carried out:
    • TPMS Reset
  • Communications can be done via phone call or text message.
  • We will confirm when the job has been completed via phone call or text message. If you wish to inspect the work completed, our technician will wait in the van while this is done.
  • Upon confirmation of agreement that the job has been completed successfully, we will make a note on our records so no contact is needed.
  • Keys and/or locking wheel nut will be returned to the agreed place where collected.
  • Our technicians will wear a new pair of disposable gloves for each and every job.
  • All of our vans are cleaned at the end of each shift and all rubbish disposed of correctly.
