Since centers and big men are often the focal point of a team's defensive effort, correctly allocating your badges is critical for anchoring your defense. The center position is typically a less common option among NBA 2K teams. Even when such a position is created, the consumer often desires to hold the ball in their hands. Following is a list of the top 10 NBA 2K21 best badges for Big Men, based on my experience with and analysis of the badges in NBA 2K21 .
If you're in the general field, the best interior security badge is Intimidator, which makes opponents miss shots. To properly play their position as a paint defender, all big men need to be maxed out.
NBA 2K21 Best Badges for Big Man
Rebound Chaser: You'll need this badge to rebound at all, and it's best if it's maxed out to get the most. When in place, combine it with the Box badge for the most effective way to catch any surface.
Rim Protector: Rim Protector is needed to effectively block shots, but you can get away without it on lower levels. While maxed is preferred, Bronze is sufficient for consistent swats.
The Brick Wall badge is required for setting displays, but it is not required for spot-up bigs. Bronze is appropriate for infrequent screeners, but it should be maxed for maximum effectiveness.
Pogo Stick: This badge encourages you to repeatedly hop in the paint, negating any pump impersonations. If maxed out, it's not mandatory (you'll just have to be more careful on jumps), but it's overpowered.
Acrobat: While it can seem amusing, the Acrobat badge will be useful for your center. In reality, you'll need more animations from this badge than you will from the others. Go for the Gold Acrobat badge for the sake of your center.
Touch Finisher: An offensive center that can take as much contact as possible is a valuable asset. To achieve the Shaq-like superiority underneath the basket, you'll need a Gold to Hall of Fame on the Contact Finisher badge.
Since we've already discussed nerfing, you'll need to figure out the best way to avoid the downgrades. That means you'll need at least a Gold Pro Touch badge to ensure that opposing defenses can't easily change your shot timings.
Relentless Finisher: Can you keep being the block in the middle for an extended period of time? It's the Relentless Finisher badge that allows you to stay in the game longer while still finishing your shots under the basket. At the very least, a Silver would do the trick.
Lob City Finisher: The Lob City Finisher badge is the only smurfed skill in 2K21. Any player under the basket has a chance to complete an alley-oop even if they don't have the badge. Getting at least a Bronze Lob City Finisher badge for your center will provide you with enough animations to pull off simple buckets from a lob pass request.
