If FIFA 22 Career Mode is to compete with the likes of Madden 22 or even NBA 2K22, it needs to be bigger, bolder, and more immersive than it has ever been before. The addition of new features will be required to accomplish this.

The dev team would have another opportunity to retain FIFA layers during the slower months of the game (typically after Christmas), which would be beneficial not only to the players but also to them.
Furthermore, previous EA job advertisements for game designers have included the phrase "Online Career," which is a promising sign ahead of the game's release. It remains to be seen whether or not this will be the case for FIFA 22.
