With minimal cap space this off season, s+t is likely to be huge. The workaround for your trade logic is to
MT 2K21 just turn it off entirely if a S&T is agreed to. The previous team doesn't have any incentive to diminish the transaction as they are getting something out of him rather than losing him for nothing. I really don't understand code, but I do not understand how that can be difficult to code in whenever there's an option in NBA 2K21 to literally turn off commerce logic. The cap issue would be from the team being hard capped as a result of this S&T. You are correct, they could examine the cap however, like we are seeing with Golden State this year, they're tight in the tax apron. That would be exactly what they'd have to work around, forcing you under a hard cap should you acquire a player via S&T.
You're right, S&T is going to be the principal way teams acquire players this season so it'd be fine if they might include it. And I really don't think you'd use it only in MyLeague/GM, you could roll out in MyCareer. I don't play MyCareer so that the cap may not relate to the way you're able to sign with groups, but if it is limit related you might opt to do a S&T with a team that doesn't have cap space rather than be confined to just teams that have distance. Can not have no commerce logic tho. You could get rid of contracts and players that were poor. That might be the hang up I would guess. It is already easy to get rid of contacts. Hope that find something tho. I believe it'll be bigger.
Smarter and more challenging team management to CPU. They should be looking for better in one form of fashion or another with every movement, every signing, every trade offer. I understand NBA 2K21 gets the Contending, Rebuilding, etc. monikers, but they very rarely really follow that. For example, the Spurs are rebuilding in-game however they refuse to trade DeRozan. I know in real life they did not trade himbut if someone comes with a deal they'd move him regardless of his age. In 2K, he is 34 years old and they're on pace for like 30 wins but since his general is like 88 they don't move him. I have seen it happen a lot although that's a scenario.
Instead of remaining unsigned fringe/unsigned NBA players can sign contracts in Europe/China/abroad. Can also help even though he's got a 3-year deal with Barcelona. What is the difference between being stashed in Europe and playing in Europe? Not OP, but the gap could be that Euro-Stash are under team control, while playing in Europe, in his example Mirotic, they are under contract with another team in Europe.
An example of how this might impact NBA 2K21, Andrew Bogut is a FA in NBA 2K21, but last year that he had been playing Australia. He had been free to come to the NBA once his season ended. So a Playing in X option would be the player looks from the FA pool but it would state,"Playing in China, qualified to signal on March 1." So you signal the player immediately and can't go out but would have to wait till that date to sign them. Looking at it, it certainly adds immersion but in NBA 2K21 at which the NBA is the only playable league it doesn't make a ton of sense except for the men and women who really enjoy those intricacies (which might be
Buy 2K21 MT a lot of folks, but probably not the people 2K will market NBA 2K21 towards).
