Instead of getting a blowout that night, my wig was completely destroyed. Looking back, I really wish I had taken the time to experiment with some of the suggestions below and make the wig a little more hair-like in the first place.  It was extremely itchy, far too shiny to appear even remotely realistic, and the texture was a major disappointment.  Don't let this happen to you!

It was close to midnight when the hairdresser finally dropped it off at my place of residence. I took it away from him in my lobby without saying anything and shut the door in his face.
