Luka Doncic may be the cover athlete for NBA 2K22. from uwnmspqr5's blog

Which player will appear on the cover of NBA 2K22? Luka Doncic is rumored to be the cover athlete for the upcoming NBA 2K22 video game. Consider the following more closely.

The cheap NBA 2K22 mt coins normal edition cover starring Doncic appears to have been leaked, according to 2K Intel on Twitter. Although the user who shared the image below has already deleted it, this is not the first time we've heard Doncic will grace the cover of Sports Illustrated this year.

Additionally, to add to the excitement for Mavs fans, Doncic may not be the only Maverick to grace the cover of this year's 2K. According to a well-known gaming leaks Reddit forum, Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks will grace the cover of NBA 2K22 mt Legend Edition. Earlier this year, Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans was named the cover athlete for 2K's Standard Edition, while Kobe Bryant, the late great basketball player who died last year, was named the cover athlete for 2K's Legend Edition.

While nothing has been verified and the image may be a prototype, it is not inconceivable that the Slovenian-born forward will grace the cover of NBA 2K22. The image is seen below. This is particularly significant given the likelihood that former Mavericks euro-star Dirk Nowitzki will cover the game's Legends version. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier all but corroborated the claim a few weeks ago, the website reported.

This would be the first time in NBA 2K's history that a Dallas Maverick would grace the cover. Doncic wasted no time in picking up where future Hall of Famer Nowitzki left off following his selection as the third overall choice in the 2018 NBA Draft. Since entering the league as an unknown three years ago, the 21-year-old sensation has swept the league. Doncic has already selected to two All-Star games as a rookie, was crowned Rookie of the Year, and was named to the All-Rookie/All-NBA first team.

A cover showing both Luka Doncic and Dirk Nowitzki would be unusual, even more so given that Dirk was never considered for a cover during his playing career.
