This month's biggest streaming premiere is "Top Gun: Maverick,” Tom Cruise's record-breaking sequel, is destined to be the holiday movie season's streaming hit. “Maverick” finally arrives on Paramount+ on December 22 and should become the crown jewel of the new streaming platform's film library after grossing $1.4 billion and becoming the 11th highest-grossing film of all time worldwide (unadjusted for inflation).


1. Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)

Avatar: The Way of Water is back, After the events of the first film, Jake Sully lives as an Omaticaya chief who has a family with Neytiri and their children, namely Neteyam, Lo'ak, Tuk, Kiri, and Spider. Amidst their peaceful lives, the humans return to Pandora to explore. One of them is Colonel Miles Quaritch who was cloned into a Na'vi body and equipped with memories from before his death.


One day, Colonel Quaritch managed to catch Spider whom he recognized as his son. Colonel Quaritch also decides to spend time with Spider and in return, Spider will teach Colonel Quaritch about Na'vi culture. Knowing conditions were no longer safe, Jake and his family exiled themselves from the Omaticaya to the Metkayina clan of coral people on Pandora's east coast.


Even though they were once considered a threat and ridiculed due to their genetics, Jake and his family finally found acceptance and protection. They quickly adapted and learned the way of life of coral people. However, Jake's hiding is not a solution, because Colonel Quaritch finds him again and finally a tense fight ensues. that's a little story about Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) Movie


2. Spirited (2022)

“Spirited” attempts to invert Dickens’s story, making the ghosts into the heroes. The Ghost of Christmas Present (Will Ferrell) is feeling disillusioned with his haunting job alongside his colleagues Jacob Marley (Patrick Page), the Ghost of Christmas Past (Sunita Mani) and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (Loren Woods, and voiced by Tracy Morgan). He’s started to wonder whether their hauntings make any real difference in the world.


3. Babylon (2022)

Written by Chazelle, “Babylon” centers on three industry types — a powerful star, a soon-to-be minted starlet and an up-and-coming executive — whose lives first intersect in a frenzied blowout crowded with attendees thrashing wildly, their mouths, arms, legs, breasts and assorted other bits flapping in a simulacrum of ecstasy. The star is Jack Conrad (Brad Pitt in usual smooth form), an M.G.M. headliner with a dashing mustache, a string of hits and a romantic life that, despite his boozing, is as robust as his health. The movie’s humor — and Chazelle’s amused approach — is signaled when Jack tells a flirty waitress to bring him multiple drinks. He slurps buckets, and then gets it energetically on with the server.


4. Black Adam (2022)

Black Adam was originally named Teth-Adam. The Shazam Champion chosen by the Wizards five thousand years ago. He was appointed after he dared to inflame the spirit of revolution in his people, the Kahndaq people, who were enslaved. Fast forward to the present, this fictitious nation is still not independent. Their land is now colonized by a criminal syndicate called Intergang who seek Sabbac's crown, a super-powered relic hidden by Teth-Adam in the past. So, in order to save her people, Adrianna and her small group try to find the crown first. In the process, Adrianna frees Teth-Adam. The modern Kahndaq Nation, who knew the Champion through legend, instantly hailed the super creature as the hero who would set them all free. Teth-Adam is indeed the protector of the nation, it's just that he upholds justice in his own way. The way that the Justice Society led by Hawkman had to come from afar to intervene to protect Teth-Adam, who was actually seen as a rioting monster.


5. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' is a superhero film from Marvel Studios directed by Ryan Coogler. Starring Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, and Lupita Nyong'o, this film focuses on the people of Wakanda grieving the death of T'Challa. Not only that, the presence of an underwater civilization led by Namor makes the residents have to work together to defend their hometown from these external threats.


6. Don’t Worry Darling (2022)

Don't Worry Darling tells the story of a married couple, named Jack and Alice Chambers, who live happily in a luxurious estate. One day, Alice went to a forbidden place for the wives who live in the housing. Since coming to that place, Alice realized that something was wrong with her life and everything around her.


7. Violent Night (2022)

Violent Night tells the story of Santa Claus who begins to feel bored in doing his job of distributing presents. While carrying out his last assignment, Santa arrived at a large house where the occupants were held captive by a group of robbers. Unable to bear to see a small child being held captive, Santa decides to save the family.
