It is advertising. Anything posted on a brand's social media is advertising. They also aren't"not holding their event"; they're delaying it, and drawing attention to it using this tweet. To be fair, this is actually the first I've heard about the reveal. It's now on my radar as a result of this Madden 21 coins tweet, so it's still advertising. This is not doing something though and quite frankly some of us have experienced our intelligence insulted way too much with the ton of dumb fucking"we stand with you via covid" advertisements by companies in recent months. These same companies that are actively fucking over their workers during this pandemic. Like seriously, Amazon of all fucking companies has a God damn covid advertisement with some asshole preaching about just how much the company is doing to protect it's employees which people who have followed recent events would know is complete fucking bullshit. It's a damn joke frankly.
EA is the big corp in the gambling world. They do and say whatever will deliver them greatest profit. Not like anyone's losing sleep within a (probably) cinematic trailer promoting a game that'll just be precisely the same as last season's. Comes off as EA trying to get people to forget that they renewed basically a complete monopoly on NFL games that majorly pissed off sports sport fans.

The Buy Madden 21 coins honestly doesnt care at all, they just care about their image and gains, they understand the image the nfl's had under EA and are content with that continuing without taking"risk" in seeing how other publishers could present their brand. In terms of cash they likely decided that however much ea is paying for exclusivity is close enough to offeset the further profits gained from moving multi-published, im not happy about, but thats the reality. Many people outside echochambers similar to this one do not care.
