In many ways, feel, left by Blizzard. Diablo 2 Resurrected could begin to right the wrongs. Blizzard is a firm in transformation. Firmly in the middle of the pending Microsoft merger Diablo 2 Resurrected could prove to be the final game developed by the "Old Blizzard," and there's a lot on the D2R Items line to offer the players the game they want, especially since it's been a while since Diablo 3, other games that are in the same genre, like Path of Exile, have challenged Blizzard's looted crown.
There's a looping mechanism in Diablo that is central to the game's success or not working. Are you content to dive into the dungeon with no thought, kill mobs and get loot? If yes you then Diablo 2 Resurrected is halfway to being adored by the fan base. If the team has again messed with the loot system, as it did in the original release of Diablo 3, then we're in trouble.

If Diablo 2 Resurrected gets that right and implements a similar system as Loot2.0 from Diablo 3, then we're already worried about just the amount of time we'll get to sink into the game. Diablo 3's disaster is arguably the most beneficial chance that has ever happened to the franchise on an ongoing basis. If you mix this alongside the Immortal controversy, it feels like Blizzard offers a clear path to avoid so that it can remain at the top of the list of its most loyal players.
The Diablo 3 community has been open about the things they don't like, and has been throughout the lifespan of Diablo 3, so we're hopeful that Blizzard will take it into consideration from those lucky enough to play large portions of the game pre-release. Although we'd bet Blizzard doesn't like the stream of leaked footage that seems to follow following the private test.
One aspect that is part of Diablo 3 that is confirmed to return are the short-lived Seasons. These are post-game bits of content which refresh the ways legendary items function, and remix the content of the game base, adding replayability to a game that is already ridiculously replayable. Seasons were featured for a considerable amount times in Diablo 3, so we're hoping that they'll be a huge focus in Diablo 2 Resurrected.
The seasonal nature of the game also sets Diablo 2 Resurrected up to be another irresistible Game Pass game, should it ever be shut down. A game like Diablo with its solid gameplay is perfect for a service that allows gamers to return to online games following a few months. However, with the game set to launch in June and the fight over Activision's future Activision is still in full swing It's one game which is highly unlikely to receive it the D2 Resurrected Ladder Items Game Pass treatment on day one, unless something significant changes.
