This drug
can make you dizzy or drowsy. Avoid consuming alcohol while using this drug
because it can make you more dizzy. Avoid
driving or operating machinery or doing anything that requires
alertness until you know how this medicine will work for you.
Before
having any surgery or medical procedures, tell your doctor that you are using
this medicine and about all the products that you use.
Old-age
people may be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug.
Do not use Fioricet if you have used an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days. Doing so may lead to a dangerous drug interaction. The MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, and tranylcypromine.
Fioricet could decrease the effectiveness of hormonal birth control pills, patch, or a ring which could cause pregnancy. Talk to your doctorabout using some other birth control methods while using this medicine.
Taking too
much acetaminophen can cause damage to your liver if you take it too often.
Do not useFioricet during pregnancy because it
may harm an unborn child. Using this medication in high doses or for longer
duration may cause withdrawal symptoms
in a newborn, such as irritability, vomiting, abnormal crying, seizures, or
diarrhea.
