The Animal Crossing: New Horizons game for the Nintendo Switch system has allowed you to transform a desolate island brimming with possibilities into your own personal paradise for the past year. Since the beginning of the game, we've admired your creativity and ingenuity in creating your islands.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Free Updates and Events In fact, over 12 million Custom Designs have been uploaded to the Custom Design Portal by players all over the world in the first year of the game. We hope you enjoy creating and sharing your designs for many more seasons to come, especially now that the update will add 50 new custom design slots to both the Normal and Pro Custom Design modes! In addition, on March 18, the game will receive a free update that will include the following features:
1st Anniversary Cake – To commemorate the occasion, Nook Inc. created a 1st Anniversary Cake. After the update is installed, it will be sent to the players' in-game mailbox.
Sanrio Sweetness – Brighten up your island with some Sanrio Sweetness. The Animal Crossing Sanrio Collaboration Pack will be available for $5.99 at Target stores across the United States starting March 26. You'll be able to invite cute and colorful Animal Crossing residents inspired by popular Sanrio characters to your island using these six vibrantly designed amiibo cards, including Rita, Chai, and Toby. In-game, these amiibo cards can also be used to exchange AC bells for special Sanrio-themed ACNH furniture and fashion items. You can even invite these characters to Photopia for a fun photo shoot on Harv's Island.
Editor + for Custom Design Pro –Your NookPhone's Custom Design app is getting an upgrade!*To use the feature, go to Resident Services and use your Nook Miles at the Nook Stop. It will offer a more comprehensive set of features, including the ability to customize umbrellas, small flags, uchiwa, and photo stands. You can truly let your imagination run wild with a new expansion of 50 slots added to both the Normal Custom Design mode and the Pro Custom Design mode.
Custom Design Portal– The Custom Design Portal from the Able Sisters store can now be added directly to your in-game NookPhone app. It will be available to you whenever inspiration strikes.** If you're looking for something different
Seasonal Items – Spring is here, and with it comes a slew of new seasonal items! Between March 26 and April 1, players can order a variety of colors of whoopee cushion from the in-game Nook Shopping service, just in time for April Fool's Day. From April 1 to April 30, you can get ready for prom season by shopping at the Able Sisters shop for themed fashion items. During this time, you can also order prom-themed items from Nook Shopping, such as a prom wall, prom night flooring, and a prom sash. Never let an opportunity to dance pass you by!
Island Tour Creator – A brand new way to share your island with the rest of the world is coming soon! The new Island Tour Creator, which will be available until the end of the year, is a limited-time web service that allows you to create a poster and trailer for your island using screenshots and footage captured in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. To demonstrate what makes your personal island so special, share your favorite spots on the island or commemorate sentimental scenes. Items with a Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary theme –New items have been dispatched to Nook Shopping terminals in Animal Crossing: New Horizons this month, as you may have noticed. You can now order clothing featuring Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Wario, among other characters. The Super Mushroom and the? Block can also be ordered as furniture items in-game to add some Mario merriment to your island. You can even travel between locations on your island using the new Warp Pipe items.
