While being lethal off the dribble from the midrange he brought a athleticism that was mad into his game. Harden is a player, but undoubtedly not the SG of all time! Im placing Wade,Kobe and MJ ahead of him any day. Sure these 3 guys had other celebrities with them and won with a championship team, but these guys have proved themselves in critical playoffs and finals games, something Harden has to do. Except perimeter defense for guards is nowhere as significant as team defense or rim protection along with also a SG's defense is only like 20 percent as important as his offense.That doesn't make sense. You can not have team defense if everybody is average. I'm not even like a die-hard Kobe fan or anything, but go tell that guy that his shield doesn't matter. Or Jordan. Or wade. Or some number of elite SGs. Yeah, rim defense things, but it sure as shit doesn't matter if the shooting guard keeps his guy facing him and doesn't let him get which Harden is incapable of.
His strategy is embarrassing. He allows the center of the ground to the players and opens up that he defends. He does not slide his toes. There's a reason that he can't, and never will have the ability to, get his team into a tournament win one. Like I mentioned in a comment - I'd be prepared to wager that you think that Trae Young is worth a damn. I hate Trae Young. Harden is a multiplayer offensively, on the other hand, no old tropes about his defense from 2015 mar his standing. You may call him generational offensively.
