The previous version of this tree, shown during an update every quarter in September 2020, looked quite grotesque, but it did not seem all that useful. The tree presented at the time was identified as "pre-alpha," "in development content" and "NOT FINAL."
It was also at least the second edition of the skills tree that was designed specially for Diablo 4; Blizzard showed an earlier version of the skill tree back in 2019, when the game was revealed at BlizzCon.Despite the aesthetic change that was made, a clearer skills tree is what a game like Diablo 4 needs. There are a myriad of abilities and skills players will acquire during the first 50 levels.
