While listening to radio online may not be radio streaming the most exciting activity you can do on a daily basis, it is certainly a useful and enjoyable way to pass the time. For instance, you can check out local news and events, or listen to people's opinions on local issues. You can also see what other cultures are listening to in the same area, and perhaps pick up some useful vocab. This is especially true if you are moving to a new locale.
