Aluminum is one of the most common materials used in many fields. It is also very lightweight, corrosion resistant and sturdy. However, aluminum does not have a great thermal conductivity so when you’re making an enclosure for your electronics to keep them from getting burned up during operations, it would be best if you can use materials with high thermal conductivity like copper or wood.

Material cost

When building a DIY project using only recycled materials, the cost can range anywhere between $50-100 depending on what you decide to make. For this case study I decided to use aluminum cans as the material because they are relatively cheap, sturdy and long lasting. However, if you want to make this project a bit more elaborate or extravagant then you can use wood instead of aluminum cans.

Time required

This project would take me about 2-3 hours to complete since I already have all the materials available. If I wasn’t able to find any recycled aluminum cans at my local shop for free then it will take me about an hour longer because I’ll have to go shopping for them first. Buying scrap  The total cost of the materials used in this project is around $30. That’s including all the cans and other pieces of hardware I would need to create my enclosure. If you were planning on making this enclosure for educational purposes then I would recommend using only aluminum cans that are made from recycled material because they have a much better impact on our environment.

Disassemble!

In order to make sure that none of the electronics inside will get damaged while constructing my DIY project, it would be best if I disassemble it first. For  Using a flathead screwdriver, I start unscrewing the bottom half of my cans. Once that is done I use a small pry tool to move the top part of the can because it’s slightly stuck in place.

Once all four cans are out of their containers, I immediately take them to my workshop and begin assembling my enclosure.

The first step would be to find suitable holes for mounting both my Raspberry Pi Zero W and the motion detector. Using an exacto-knife, I cut two small holes on each side of  f the enclosure. Then I use my drill to make a hole in each corner, so that they can be screwed into place using long screws.

Once all four corners are lined up, it’s time to find holes for mounting the door hinges on both sides of the enclosure. Using an exacto-knife again, I cut two small holes just like before and this time I also use my drill to make a larger hole on each side of the box where the hinge will go through.

Aluminum is the most common material in the world, and it is an important material for our daily life. Aluminum is a very stable element. In addition, it has high heat conductivity and high flexibility. As we know, many countries like China started to produce aluminium products to sale around the world, like car parts or appliances. It could be easily found everywhere in every country because of its widespread use.

Aluminum extrusion is one kind of production process that creates objects from blocks of metal by blow molding or cold forming. The same as other materials such as plastics and wood  , it has quality and characteristics of its own. It can be used as a material for product manufacture, such as aluminum profile extrusion molding.

Aluminum is the most important raw material in this production process since there are many advantages to use aluminum instead of other materials like wood or plastic, because they have similar properties but not so good thermal conductivity and high weight. Aluminum can meet the requirement better than wood because the increase of  the weight of aluminum can also increase thermal conductivity.

Aluminum extrusion has several advantages:

Shorter production time and lower cost than wood, plastic or other materials.

Fast cooling rate after blow molding because it is easy to control the shape of product with high accuracy.

Low shrinkage rate, long service life and low maintenance cost.

It can be processed into various shapes in different colors. It has wide application for product manufacturing, such as aluminum profile extrusion molding.

Aluminium alloy plate is recyclable and nontoxic material, which can be used again after being processed.

Aluminum has good corrosion resistance and it doesn’t rust easily; so when making products from aluminum, there will be little or no need to use painting or other finishing techniques.

Because of its light weight, aluminum extrusion process is easy to transport  Aluminum extrusion has several disadvantages:

It is not as strong as wood or plastic, it can be easily broken.

Aluminum requires special molding materials, such as these require more time to set and heat up than those made of other materials.

The usage of precision aluminum plates is very important to assure the quality and life of any product. It is also essential for all industrial manufacturing companies like car manufacturers, electronics, medical devices and many more. This material is strong and durable in nature. It has a long service life if it is properly maintained by using appropriate materials for cleaning, drying and polishing.

Aluminum plates are made up of high-quality aluminum which keeps its original strength even after years of time. All the edges are processed with machine tools or CNC machines so that they will give good looking polished results without any jagged edges or burrs appearing on them during manufacturing process. The other way to maintain its quality level is by using food grade lubricants as well as rubbing compound in between the parts when necessary so that no rusting can take place due to contact with water or moisture present in air while being transported from one place to another. In order to assure the proper surface finishing, there are different polishing techniques used too such as buffing, honing, rubbings and many more which produce smooth shiny result on an object’s surface only when done properly. 5086, 5005, 5083 aluminum plate manufacturer have the strength to produce precision aluminum plate

Precision Aluminum Plate – High heat retention capabilities

Aluminum plates have special properties which make them highly suitable for use in cooking appliances like microwaves since these appliances use high frequency power at a temperature range around 180°C (356°F). These plates have excellent thermal conductivity property making  up the top ten list among all materials used for this purpose. They can also be used for baking and roasting foods in ovens because of their excellent heat retention capabilities.

Aluminum plates are extremely strong and sturdy, lightweight material with low density they have good formability  y which makes them easy to cut and shape in manufacturing process. They can be easily polished and the final result is highly attractive as well.

Polished Aluminum is a type of aluminum which has undergone a process called anodization, which changes the appearance of aluminum and makes it non-magnetic or made from a different conductivity. This is done to prevent corrosion by forming a layer of oxide on the surface.

The most common form for polished aluminium is 5086 aluminium sheet that has been anodized in blue and 9064 that has been anodized in black. And normally 6061 alloy contains about 1% copper whereas 9064 alloy contains only .07% copper. The price of polished aluminum plate depends on its size,  In terms of sheet, the price ranges from $1 to $15 per linear foot according to size and quality. In case of round bar, the cost is between $2 and $20 per pound. These prices can vary greatly depending on supplier and grade.

The coating or oxide layer that forms on aluminum during its anodization process gives polished aluminum a mirror-like finish. This makes it very reflective because light reflects off of the surface in a number of different directions instead of bouncing back into your eyes like it does on other metals such as steel or plastic. As  a result, polished aluminum is commonly used for windows, automobiles and other vehicles because it reflects up to 99% of the light that hits it.

Aluminum is non-magnetic but when anodized aluminum goes through a process called magnetization reversal, its surface becomes magnetic again. This means that if you rub a piece of polished aluminum with paper, you will get smudges on your paper. However if you rub the same piece of Aluminium Checkered Plate against cloth or another material which has “a higher permeability” than the cloth or material used in rubbing then this technique can be used to remove some of the oxide coating without damaging the underlying metal.

Polished Aluminum has many unique properties making it ideal for use in any application where durability and reflection are important characteristics such as windows, mirrors, airplanes and boats; It also withstands weathering well therefore eliminating corrosion issues from its applications like aircrafts and buildings etc.
