Now that 2022 is officially in the books, it's time to get ready for arguably the most anticipated promotion in the annual Football Ultimate Team (FUT) calendar. Starting at 11AM EST on January 10, soccer fans will be able to vote for the 11 players who will be eligible for FIFA 23's 2022 Team of the Year. Voting will take place on EA's FIFA 23 website.
The shortlist includes 10 top goalkeepers from around the world, including World Cup star Yasimburnu, Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois and AC Milan's McMaignan. More than 20 defenders, midfielders and attackers are also on the list for the XI of the year. Notable names include Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Ruben Dias, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Virgil van Dijk, Karim Benzema, Ashraf Hakimi, Bruno Fernandes and Martin Odegaard.
Voting for the FIFA 23 Team of the Year will run for a week and officially closes on January 17th at 3AM ET. EA and FIFA 23 Teams will release the full XI Team of the Year on January 19.
Additionally, EA Sports confirmed that Team of the Year will be featured in FIFA 23 for mobile. The mobile promotion for Team of the Year begins on February 2nd.

All of this must be done in Live FUT Friendly: Managerial Masterpiece mode, which requires you to be on a team with a maximum rating of 80 and only one loan player.
