RENTON, Wash. (AP) The Seattle Seahawks reached agreement on a one-year deal worth up to $6 million with veteran offensive lineman Connor Williams on Tuesday. Williams representatives Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha confirmed the agreement to The A sociated Pre s, Shabazz Napier Jersey which includes $3 million guaranteed.Williams likely will be thrown into the competition at center where Seattle has the most uncertainty on its offensive line. In a year where nothing about the preseason was normal, one thing did stay the same and that's cut day. The NFL's annual roster purge always occurs on the Saturday before the first week of the season and this year, and this season was no exception. Each of the NFL's 32 teams had until 4 p.m. ET on Saturday to get their roster down to 53 players, which means nearly 1,000 players will have been released before the weekend is over. The good news for anyone losing a job is that practice squads are expanding to 16 players this year, which means as many as 512 of the guys who were cut could be scooped back up before the start of the season.The Jaguars actually got the ball rolling pretty early this year with cuts when they Leonard Fournette earlier this week (Fournette Juan Toscano-Anderson Jersey has actually already found a new team in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers). I bloody hate the Ricoh, cursed ground I swear! Been so poor at home this season and its going to cost us having a chance of the play offs if we dont sort it out. After Saturdays brilliant away win at MK Dons I was hoping we could continue the good run but it wasnt to be, we had so many chances but I knew nothing would go our way today. Its a shame as with over 15000 people attending and watching the game the result will put them off for future games Im sure.City welcomed 2013 in with defeat; Mark Robins made one change with David McGoldrick coming back from suspension in replaced of two goal hero Stephen Elliot, a very Brandon Graham Jersey harsh decision but with McGoldricks goal record this season was definitely the right decision to make, but to be honest he was awful today. He nearly did score with only 20 seconds on the clock but he smashed it wide of the goal from the right hand side. It was all the home side as Franck Mou sa nearly got in but a last ditch block from former City youngster Jermaine Grandison. Shrewsbury had the best chance of the game at the time as on the attack City were left sleeping at the back and some nice one to play between a few Shrews players brought out a good save by Joe Murphy which led him to needing treatment. Coventry had the best chance of the half with Gary McSheffrey hitting a wonder strike but it rattled off the bar and off keeper Chris Weale out for a corner. City were almost caught napping at the back again as Shrewsbury nearly got in again but luckily Joe Jacobsens cro s just rolled wide. They almost Malcolm Jenkins Jersey broke the deadlock with Marvin Morgan sliding home a low cro s but luckily he got his angles wrong and it went harmle sly wide. Shrewsbury looked more dangerous since Asa Hall came on for Aaron Wildig. It was the home side who had another great chance as Mou sa forced a good save from Weale with a flicked header which forced Weale to put it out for a corner. City dominated the left hand side for most of the first half, they nearly created a brilliant goal with Blair Adams and McSheffrey playing a nice one two but Adams shot was easy for keeper Weale to save.The second half and Coventry started brightly with Adams again bringing out a save from Weale from a curling shot, he almost scored once more as another curling shot just went anxiously wide, never saw him attack so much before, hes our Rafael!!! City dominated the second half and McSheffrey really should have scored, Weale attempted clearance hit his own player and McSheffrey in front of mainly an open goal tried to chip Weale who already went down to save it, but knowingly it went wide!!!!! He should have just smashed it in the net and he chose the stupid option in going for a fancy goal, very angry after that. City changed it with Leon Clarke coming on for John Fleck, very harsh on Fleck he had a good game and didnt deserve to come off. Clarke who scored twice Cameron Johnston Jersey at the Ricoh when he was at Scunthorpe nearly scored with his first touch as a glancing header flew just wide. With it getting later into the game I just knew wed concede and we did, just after the Josh Sweat Jersey hour mark a unmarked Luke Rodgers brought out a brilliant save from Murphy who stopped his powerful header but unfortunately Marvin Morgan was there to somehow poke home in a very crowded penalty area to send 1413 Shrewsbury fans into a roar of delight. Even though we didnt take our chances today the officials werent any better, the away side winning most of the decision made by the referee. City were dominating with attack after attack being enforced, Leon Clarke who after the game came out that he has signed a 2 year deal nearly scored, from a corner he smashed home only for it to be bravely stop on the line by a Shrewsbury defender, I was so sure it was in that I jumped out my seat and caught the seat with the back of my leg, got a very big cut now L We should definitely of scored next as Weale saved well from a McSheffrey long range effort and McGoldrick follow up which he should really have scored but Weale made a brilliant save to deny him. Shrewsbury brought on Tom Bradshaw for Rodgers and Adam Barton came on for Mou sa. In the dying moments City just piled on the pre sure even more forcing the away side to bring on another central defender in Yado Mambo who replaced Jon Taylor, his first job was to defend a last minute free kick but Carl Bakers shot was saved well by Chris Weale and that was it for the game.A very unfortunate outcome if you ask me, fair play to Shrewsbury they took their chances, just hope we can kick on and make the ground up that we lost.
