Sildenafil (Fildena XXX 100 mg)citrate is a PDE5 inhibitor. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis to help a man get and maintain an erection during sexual stimulation. When sexual arousal causes local release of nitric oxide, PDE5 is inhibited, allowing cGMP levels to increase, relaxing the smooth muscle and increasing blood flow into the corpus cavernosum.
The usual recommended starting dose is 100 mg taken as needed approximately 1 hour before sexual activity. However, the dose can be adjusted between 25-100 mg based on efficacy and side effects. It is not intended for daily use. Maximum dosage is 100 mg per day.
Clinical studies have shown that Fildena 100 mg is an effective ED treatment, helping men attain and maintain an erection. One study showed it improved erections in about 70% of men who took it compared to 18% for placebo.
The effects of Fildena 100 can last approximately 4-6 hours. Food intake may affect drug absorption and efficacy. High fat meals can delay absorption.
