Covered in a clean combination of black and grey all throughout, this adidas NMD R1 utilizes a stretchy knitted construction on the upper along with materials that imitate the taping found in technical jackets. Additional details include adidas branding on the heel pull tabs, tongue, and midsole, a black Boost midsole, abd reflective 3M detailing on the three stripes branding and accents.
The Primeknit upper opts for a fittingly-named Adidas NMD R1 White Grey shade, with other elements such as the eyelets, heel overlay, BOOST foam midsole, and the signature midsole plugs also in a stark white. Rather than the usual decals, the side stripes are outlined in light blue, “Ambient Sky” embroidery, and see a patterned fill. The print is reminiscent of the view of the sky on a cloudy day and is also applied to the heel of the model.
